Scrapbooking doesn’t have to be a “special occasion only” hobby. One of the easiest ways to stay inspired (and actually finish pages) is to scrapbook by theme—matching colors, motifs, and story prompts to the season, holidays, and everyday moments that make up a year.
Below you’ll find themed scrapbook ideas for every month (plus bonus “anytime” themes), along with simple page prompts and supply ideas you can use whether you scrapbook in a classic 12x12 album, a traveler’s notebook, a mini album, or digitally.
How to use yearly themes (without getting overwhelmed)
Before we jump into the month-by-month ideas, here are a few ways to make “a theme for every day” feel doable:
Pick a pace: daily, weekly, or “as life happens.” A themed list is an inspiration menu, not a strict schedule.
Use a repeatable page recipe: photo(s) + journaling + a title + a few embellishments. Consistency makes it easier to finish.
Batch your prep: print photos, cut a few mats, or pre-make title strips once a month.
Keep a “story bank”: jot quick notes in your phone when something happens (funny quote, small win, cozy moment). Those tiny stories become your best pages.
Let themes overlap: if you miss a week or a month, roll it forward. Themes are flexible on purpose.
