Every new season is a reminder of God’s faithfulness. The changing colors of fall, the crispness of the air, and the rhythm of life shifting around us all whisper of His promises—that He is constant, steadfast, and always present. Journaling can be such a beautiful way to slow down and reflect on those truths, especially when life feels busy or overwhelming.
In this post, I want to invite you to journal with me as we take time to reflect on God’s promises for this season. Whether you’re a seasoned journaler or just beginning, these ideas will guide you to deepen your faith and capture what the Lord is speaking to your heart.
Why Journal God’s Promises?

Journal Prompts: Reflecting on His Promises
1. Scripture Study
Write out verses that highlight God’s promises (like Jeremiah 29:11, Romans 8:28, or Isaiah 41:10). Reflect on what those words mean to you in this current season of life.
2. Answered Prayers
Journal about prayers God has answered recently. How do those answers remind you of His goodness?
3. Promises in Waiting
What are you trusting God for right now? Write them down as prayers and reminders of His faithfulness, even while you wait.
4. Gratitude List
List five things you’re grateful for this week. Consider how each one reflects God’s promises of provision, love, or peace.
5. Creative Expression
Add doodles, scripture lettering, or even scrapbook-style embellishments to your journal pages. This turns your journaling into a creative act of worship.
