How to Make Your Own Scrapbooking Stickers with Canva + Creative Fabrica Clipart

Let’s be honest: scrapbooking stickers are ✨addictive✨. Whether you’re a digital memory keeper, a paper-crafting queen, or someone who just loves decorating your planner, custom stickers are the cherry on top.

And the best part? You don’t need a cutting machine or fancy software to make them.

In this tutorial, I’ll show you exactly how to make your own scrapbooking stickers using Canva + Creative Fabrica clipart — even if you’ve never designed a sticker in your life.Ready to create something cute? Let’s get started!

🧁 Why Make Your Own Stickers?

First of all… why not?

Making your own stickers means:

  • You get to match your exact aesthetic (hello, cottagecore fall vibes!)

  • You can print them or use them digitally

  • You save money on sticker packs

  • You get to flex those creative muscles and make something totally unique

I use my custom stickers in digital scrapbooking pages, journal spreads, and even in printable sticker sheets I sell on Etsy. (You can peek at my shop right here if you want to see what they look like “in the wild” 😉)

🛠 What You’ll Need

Before we jump into Canva, here’s what you’ll want to have handy:

  • A free Canva account

  • Clipart or PNG graphics with transparent backgrounds (I love getting mine from Creative Fabrica)

  • Optional: A printer + sticker paper (if you want to make physical stickers)

Once you’ve got your clipart, you’re halfway there.

🎨 Step-by-Step: How to Make Scrapbooking Stickers in Canva

1. Start with a Blank Design

Open Canva and choose a canvas size that fits your project. I usually start with 8.5 x 11 in (standard US letter) — great for printing later!

2. Upload Your Clipart

Once you've downloaded your clipart from Creative Fabrica, upload those cuties into Canva.

Pro tip: Make sure you’re using PNG files with transparent backgrounds — this makes it easier to layer and arrange them like real stickers.

3. Add a White Outline (a.k.a. Sticker Border)

Here’s the part that gives your stickers that official look:

  • Click on a graphic

  • Tap “Edit Photo” > “Shadows”

  • Choose “Glow” and set it to white

  • Increase the size and transparency to your liking

  • BAM — instant sticker effect!

You can even duplicate this white border to make the outline thicker if needed.

4. Arrange Your Stickers

You can make:

  • A whole printable sticker sheet

  • Individual elements for digital scrapbooking

  • Functional stickers (like labels, icons, or checklist boxes)

  • Decorative elements for planner pages or journaling spreads

Have fun with it — mix clipart, add text, layer cute shapes… the creative freedom is so satisfying.

5. Download + Print or Save Digitally

When you’re ready:

  • For printing: Download as PDF Print (best quality!)

  • For digital use: Download as PNG with transparent background

Optional: Print them on sticker paper and cut by hand (or use a cutting machine like a Cricut if you’re feeling fancy).
