When life feels busy, chaotic, or emotionally heavy, most people assume they need more structure—a bigger planner, a detailed system, a perfect routine.
But in reality, what we usually need is something much simpler.
A daily reset.
Not a full plan for the future.
Not a productivity overhaul.
Just one page that helps you pause, breathe, and re-center.
Today, I’m walking you through how to create a Simple Daily Reset Planner in Canva—something you can use personally or adapt for family life, school planning, Bible study, or creative routines.
Why a Daily Reset Works (When Full Planners Don’t)
A daily reset planner is different from a traditional planner because it:
• Focuses on the present, not the whole week
• Encourages clarity instead of productivity pressure
• Helps regulate emotions, not just tasks
It’s especially helpful during:
• Busy seasons (hello, December)
• Times of burnout
• Emotional or spiritual overwhelm
• Transitions between years
Step 1: Set Up Your Canva Document
Open Canva and choose:
• Document size: US Letter (8.5 x 11) for printing
or A4 if you prefer
Search for a blank document or a minimal planner template to start with.
Step 2: Divide the Page into Gentle Sections
You don’t need many sections. Keep it simple and calming.
I recommend:
• Today’s Focus – one main priority
• Gratitude – one thing you’re thankful for
• Release – something you’re letting go of
• Prayer / Intention – a short reflection or verse
• Next Gentle Step – something small and doable
Use soft lines, rounded shapes, or subtle boxes. White space is your friend.
Step 3: Choose Calm Fonts and Colors
For a reset page, avoid loud fonts or harsh contrasts.
Try:
• One serif or script font for headings
• One clean sans-serif font for writing areas
• Neutral or muted colors (beige, sage, soft gray, dusty blue)
If you struggle with color palettes, Creative Fabrica has beautiful font pairings and design elements that work perfectly for planners and reflection pages.

Step 4: Make It Reusable
Once your page is designed:
• Duplicate it if you want multiple versions
• Save it as:
◦ PDF Print for handwriting
◦ Canva template link if you want to reuse it digitally
This makes it perfect for:
• Daily resets
• Weekly reflections
• Bible study quiet time
• Homeschool or family check-ins
Step 5: Use It Gently (This Part Matters)
This page is not meant to be filled perfectly.
Some days you might write a sentence.
Some days you might write a word.
Some days you might just sit with it.
That still counts.
The purpose isn’t productivity—it’s presence.
