Design a beautiful, printable calendar with zero design experience needed!
If you’ve been wanting to dip your toes into Canva or create something practical (and pretty!) this month, designing your own June monthly calendar is a perfect place to start.
Whether you're a planner addict, a teacher prepping for summer, or a digital creator looking to offer freebies to your audience, this easy tutorial will walk you through how to make a beautiful June calendar in Canva—step by step.
Let’s get started!
✨ What You’ll Need:
A free Canva account (Pro gives you more fonts & templates, but it’s not required)
About 15 minutes of creative time
A color scheme or aesthetic in mind (or grab one of my free palettes!)
🖥️ Step 1: Create a New Design
Head to Canva.com and select “Create a Design.”
Choose US Letter (8.5 x 11”) or A4 depending on your paper size. This will give you the perfect layout for printing or saving as a PDF.
đź“… Step 2: Add a Grid or Table for the Days
Click on “Elements” → “Tables” and drag a 7x6 grid into your layout (7 columns for the days of the week, and 5–6 rows for the month’s dates).
Adjust the size to fill your page and leave space at the top for the month title.
🗓 Tip: Want an easier way? Search “calendar” in templates to find pre-made layouts you can personalize.
✏️ Step 3: Add the Month + Days of the Week
Use the Text tool to:
Add a heading: “June 2025” (or your favorite version)
Label each column with Sunday through Saturday
Choose a font that fits your style—modern, handwritten, or minimal—and adjust the size for readability.
🎨 Don’t forget to center or align your headings using Canva’s pink guide lines!
🌻 Step 4: Choose Your Colors & Aesthetic
Here’s where the fun begins! Add:
A seasonal background or subtle pattern (like sunflowers, watercolor, or light textures)
Color-coded accents for important dates
Cute icons or doodles for holidays or reminders (Father’s Day, First Day of Summer, etc.)
🌼 Stuck on colors? Try soft yellows, seafoam green, coral pink, or check out my June Color Palette Post for free inspiration!
📌 Step 5: Fill in the Dates + Personal Notes
Manually type in the dates for June 2025. (The 1st starts on a Sunday this year!)
You can also:
Add text boxes in each square for to-dos
Highlight holidays or personal events
Leave blank space if you’re planning to write on it after printing
📝 Want to reuse this template later? Just make a copy and change the month!
🖨️ Step 6: Download & Print!
When you’re finished:
Click “Share” → “Download”
Choose PDF Print for best quality
Print on 8.5x11” paper (28–32 lb premium paper works beautifully!)
Or save as a PNG for digital use
You’ve just made your own planner page—how cool is that?
